What I Treat

My areas of specialty include chronic illness/invisible illness, chronic pain, health anxiety, and relational and attachment trauma. If you feel called to work with me but don’t see your primary concern listed, I still encourage you to reach out for a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

As someone with lived experience of chronic illness, I understand and can help you navigate the very real impact it has on physical, emotional, and mental health.

Fees & Payment

My sessions are $200 for 50-minutes. I accept payment via debit, credit or HSA card through a secure online system.

To protect your privacy and ensure continued quality of care, I am a private pay therapist and am not in network with insurance. I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to receive partial reimbursement for sessions.

Holistic Somatic Therapy

I take an integrative approach to therapy by combining evidence-based interventions, mindfulness and somatic techniques, and creative expression to honor the mind, body, and spirit as equal participants in healing. Our work may differ from traditional talk therapy, in that we’ll attune not just to what you say, but to what your body remembers and expresses. Somatic therapy invites us to notice the subtler languages of sensation, breath, image, and internal movement, each one offering insight that words alone may not express. Alongside this embodied presence, I often incorporate elements of depth psychology and expressive arts, such as writing, visual art, reflective cards, dream symbol work and archetypal exploration. These holistic approaches help give form to what may be unspoken or buried, allowing unconscious beliefs and protective patterns to gently surface and shift. With time, clients often find themselves building self-trust and reconnecting with values and parts of themselves that once felt far away. While you’re navigating chronic illness, our relationship will become a safe container, grounded and attuned, so that you can explore what needs tending at a pace that honors your system.

EMDR Therapy

I am trained in EMDR through the EMDR Institute. EMDR is a well-researched, evidence-based treatment for many conditions, including chronic illness and chronic pain. There are 8 phases of treatment, and sessions are more structured than a psychotherapy session. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, via right-to-left eye movements or tapping, to activate opposite sides of the brain. This allows for the releasing of emotional experiences and memories that have become “trapped”. By removing blockages in the neuro-physiological system, the brain creates new neural pathways, changing your relationship to traumatic memories or experiences. This creates space and facilitates shifts that have a broad impact, allowing you to heal from trauma and re-engage with your life, your emotions, and your relationships in a way that may not have felt possible before. For those living with chronic pain or illness, EMDR can help access and resolve the underlying emotional and physiological imprints of trauma that may contribute to the onset or persistence of symptoms. By working at the root, EMDR supports a deeper integration between the nervous system and body, opening pathways for regulation and healing.
